- Each team designates only one team representative as the primary contact of the team.
- Apply through the application portal with team members’ names, emails, majors of studying, instructors (if any), collegiate institutions, and other materials as requested. Only one application per team. Duplicated application may be disqualified.

01 Summary
- Design of a residential building consisting of 16 modular boxes.
- Parameters:
- Maximum module width: 15 ft-9 inch
- Maximum module height: 10 ft
- Maximum Module length: 52 ft
- No greater than 4 stories.
- The design must utilize modular building system.
- Construction method should be stick built wood or light gauge steel.
- Each unit must have 1 living room, 1 full-size kitchen, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom.
- Please think out of box. Innovation and creative ideas including but not limited to architectural, structural solutions are essential to this competition.
- The design must have sustainable features in the areas of thermal comfort, indoor air quality, daylighting, acoustics, energy efficiency, resource strategy, aesthetics, and economic practicality.
- One additional box of urban farming would be a plus.
- Green roof and other sustainable solutions sought.
02 Requirements
- Executive design summary for your team’s project.
- Presentation with AutoCAD drawings and Revit or other format of 3D models. (AutoCAD and Revit are free for students’ subscription: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software)
- Additional sketches, renderings, plans, sections, elevations, diagrams, and/or other presenting formats are recommended.
- The finalists will be announced shortly after final submission. Identified finalists will be asked a series of questions related to the proposals through email. Each team will have the opportunity to present their answers to the questions either through emails or video recordings. All relevant materials need to be submitted before November 28th. Further instruction will be provided.
- Each team is required to upload their design package through the submission portal. No email submission allowed.
